Greek School in Munich

Year: 2008
Customer: TEAM 4 LTD

The basic design principles for the surrounding area of the school's complex concern the integration of the area to the broader region, its functional and aesthetic characteristics combined with the Greek element. This was achieved by using in the patio a large olive tree as a landmark of the place, and also by planting five Cypresses in rows at the heart of the school yard.
The aim of the design was to create a space with open vistas, shaded areas and areas with color transitions in trees and shrubs. The design also aims to complement the site's formations by revealing or hiding the view to and from various points of the complex.

On the roof of the complex, extensive type green roofs were created with flowerbeds and planting areas using plants of the species Sedum sp. that are suitable for green roof systems.
